YouTube Music has introduced a Spring Recap feature. Here’s how to find and share your playlist and stats for top artists, albums, songs, and more.
YouTube Music has launched the Spring Recap playlist and stats, which users can view and share from the web and app. The Spring Recap provides users with shareable stats about their top songs, artists, albums, and playlists. YouTube Music had previously released the 2021 Recap that was made available toward the end of 2021, and given its popularity, has now introduced a Spring Recap as well.
Music recaps are a great way for users to let friends, family, and followers know their favorite music and artists. The YouTube Music Recap feature allows users to share their stats alongside a personalized playlist. Many music streaming services have similar features, such as Spotify’s Wrapped and Apple Music’s Replay. However, YouTube Music is going one step further by letting users share seasonal Recaps throughout the year.
YouTube Music users can easily access and share their Spring Recap on Android, iPhone, or via the web. Users can choose to share their Recap playlist, which contains their favorite music, or share their personalized stats cards. Furthermore, users aren’t limited to sharing all of their stats at once, and can choose to share just specific categories. For example, users can share their favorite song stats without sharing their favorite artists or albums.
Share YouTube Music Spring Recap Playlist & Stats
Starting with the web version, users need to open the YouTube Music website, click on the profile photo in the top-right corner, and select the ‘Your Channel’ option. After that, a ‘Your Recap’ option will appear, and when the user clicks on it, the Spring Recap playlist will be displayed. Users can listen to this playlist, favorite it, or share it with friends. However, stats cards aren’t accessible through the web version.
Users can access the same YouTube playlist on Android, iPhone, and iPads by opening the app, tapping the profile photo, and then choosing the ‘Your Recaps’ option. A ‘Play’ button will appear, and tapping it will begin playing the Recap playlist. In addition, users can view their personalized stats cards and share or download them. To share all the stats, tap on the ‘Share’ button available below the first comprehensive stats card. Alternatively, swipe left or right to see the other individual stats cards and share them individually by tapping the ‘Share’ button next to each one.
Sharing the Recap playlist on the app is as easy as sharing any playlist on YouTube Music; with users only needing to tap the ‘Share’ button and choosing an app or contact to share with. The YouTube Music 2022 Spring Recap is gradually rolling out to all users. While the previous 2021 Recap was only available to users who had listened to at least 10 hours of music on YouTube and/or YouTube Music, the Spring Recap doesn’t seem to have any minimum requirements.
