OnePlus has a new flagship coming, but it isn’t the OnePlus 10 or OnePlus 10 Ultra. It will release a device in which few details are available.
Fans of OnePlus have waited for the arrival of the standard OnePlus 10 since the OnePlus 10 Pro launched at the beginning of the year, but it seems that the wait has been in vain. OnePlus seems to have changed its product release schedule. In previous years, it used to launch its flagship models together on the same day and at a global event, but that wasn’t the case this year.
It announced the OnePlus 10 Pro in Jan. 2022 for China first before bringing it to other regions in March. A month later, it launched the OnePlus Ace, the first of a new series, in China. Later in April, the OnePlus Ace made its global debut as the OnePlus 10R, a successor to the OnePlus 9R, which launched alongside the OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro in 2021. The OnePlus 10R is an India-exclusive product. OnePlus also followed the Ace with a Racing Edition with slightly toned-down specs and a cheaper price tag in China.

OnePlus will not be launching a standard OnePlus 10 smartphone, according to info deduced from Max Jambor (@MaxJmb), a leaker known for posting accurate leaks about OnePlus products. Disclosing the information via Twitter, he revealed that OnePlus has only one flagship phone left to announce in 2022, and it will launch as the OnePlus 10T 5G. Based on this detail, it can be inferred that there won’t be a OnePlus 10.
No OnePlus 10 Ultra Too
Not only will there not be a standard OnePlus 10, but it also means the rumored OnePlus 10 Ultra, which was earlier reported to be scheduled for a Q3 2022 release, will also not see the light of day. While the OnePlus was reportedly in development, with its specifications even leaked in April, there was no concrete evidence the OnePlus 10 Ultra existed.

There are no details yet of the OnePlus 10T 5G, but OnePlus did confirm it had a phone powered by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor in development. Since the OnePlus 10T 5G will be a flagship, it is likely the same device with the new Qualcomm chipset. Another possible specification is support for 80W or 150W fast charging, a feature that has appeared on OnePlus announced this year. The source is no specific date with respect to the phone’s launch. However, going by OnePlus’s previous T-series announcement, it most likely won’t arrive until October. When it launches, it should come with a new version of OxygenOS.
