Nomad’s new Leather Cover is an elegant solution to help users find lost Apple TV Siri Remotes, thanks to its hidden AirTag compartment.
One of the features many Apple TV users have wanted for a while is Find My support on the Siri Remote, and Nomad is the latest brand trying to solve the problem using AirTags. Apple has equipped several of its devices with its Find My tracking, ranging from iPhones to iPads to Macs to even AirPods. The tech is also ideal for remotes, given how often people misplace them. While Apple hasn’t launched any remotes with Find My tech yet, AirTags can provide a handy workaround.
Apple’s AirTag has been quite popular since it launched in 2021. The location tracker has a U1 chip that uses ultra-wideband (UWB) for accurate location tracking. It also uses Bluetooth for devices that don’t have UWB support. Since its launch, the AirTag has resulted in several trackable accessories being launched, both by Apple and third-party manufacturers. These accessories include key tags, bike mounts, pet collars, and even luggage. There are a few brands that have attempted a Siri Remote cover with an AirTag slot in the past, but Nomad’s solution is the most refined yet.

The Nomad Leather Cover for the Siri Remote not only protects it from scratches and drops, but also features an inner pocket designed to hold an Apple AirTag. It is priced at $39.95, but is currently available for a discounted price of $33.95 on the official website. Users will need to purchase an AirTag separately though, which will add another $29 to the cost. Made from Horween leather, Nomad says the case will weather over time. It also has a microfiber interior lining that further protects the remote from scratches.
An Elegant Solution For Lost Siri Remotes
The Nomad Leather Cover is only compatible with the Siri Remote (2nd generation). It has a cut-out at the bottom that allows users to access the Lightning port for charging and one on the right side to accommodate the Siri button. Nomad is currently taking orders for the remote cover, but at the moment, it’s available only in an Ashland Brown color. Depending on the success of the product, the company may choose to add other colors in the future.

There are other cases for the Siri Remote that serve the same function, but many are made from materials like silicone or plastic. Some remote covers don’t even conceal AirTags, but Nomad has a hidden compartment to keep the tracker out of sight. In the event the remote is lost, users can locate it via the AirTag, using the Find My feature on their iPhones. Nomad’s solution is a great workaround for Apple TV users who frequently misplace their remotes, at least until Apple decides to put a U1 chip inside future Siri Remotes.
